MedVet Opens 24/7 Emergency & Specialty Hospital in Hilliard, Ohio

MedVet, a leader in emergency and specialty veterinary healthcare, has opened a new 13,700-square-foot, 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital in Hilliard, Ohio. The facility was developed in partnership with MGB Development Group and represents the 5th hospital completed through the companies’ ongoing collaboration.

MedVet Hilliard expands access to advanced veterinary care throughout Central Ohio. The hospital provides continuous emergency medicine and surgery services and offers specialty care, including Avian & Exotics, supported by board-certified veterinarians.

Purpose-Built Emergency & Specialty Veterinary Facility

The new veterinary hospital was designed to support high-acuity, round-the-clock operations. The 13,700-square-foot facility includes dedicated waiting areas for cats, dogs, avian, and exotic patients; an enhanced intensive care unit (ICU); triage and isolation suites; and three surgical suites.

The hospital also features advanced in-house imaging capabilities, including a computed tomography (CT) scanner and specialized ultrasound equipment. The layout and infrastructure were carefully planned to optimize clinical workflow, operational efficiency, and patient care.

Development Partnership & Project Execution

In close partnership with MedVet’s real estate and clinical leadership teams, MGB Development Group guided the project from capitalization and site acquisition through entitlement and full development execution.

MGB coordinated architects, general contractors, MedVet’s corporate real estate team, and specialized medical infrastructure consultants to deliver a facility aligned with MedVet’s operational standards. The project was completed on schedule and within budget.

The completion of MedVet Hilliard further strengthens the long-term development partnership between MedVet and MGB Development Group and reinforces MGB’s expertise in delivering complex healthcare facilities for established national operators.
