Verizon Wireless strengthened its central U.S. presence with a 114,000-square-foot operations center in Lincoln, Nebraska, delivered by MGB Development Group. The facility supports service delivery across the central United States and functions as a key component of Verizon’s regional operations platform.

Serving as owner and developer, MGB led the project from site acquisition, integrating development financing and overseeing design, permitting, and construction to meet immediate operational needs.

Accelerated Delivery Under Mission-Critical Timeline

The project was fast-tracked for completion to meet Verizon’s accelerated timeline. Commencing site work in the middle of the harsh Nebraska winter, the turnkey project was completed in less than 7 months, allowing Verizon to commence operations ahead of schedule.

Executing under these conditions required a coordinated development approach capable of advancing site, design, permitting, and construction activities in parallel. MGB led this process, maintaining schedule certainty under compressed timelines and challenging seasonal conditions.

Operations Center Design & Performance

The facility is designed to accommodate 800 employees within a centralized operations environment configured to support Verizon’s service platform. Building systems, telecommunications infrastructure, and interior planning were coordinated to enable efficient workflows and seamless system integration across core business functions.

The layout incorporates dedicated training areas, a full-service cafeteria, and on-site amenities including a fitness center, supporting day-to-day operations while providing a high-performance environment suited to the demands of a regional operations center.

The Lincoln facility functions as a regional operations center supporting customer service activities across the central United States.

Located within the University of Nebraska Technology Park, the site provides access to a strong regional labor pool within a campus environment suited to technology-driven operations. Site selection was driven by workforce accessibility, infrastructure capacity, and alignment with Verizon Wireless’s operational requirements.
