Overview

MGB Development Group delivered a 137,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility for ABB Power Technologies, now part of Hitachi Energy, in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania. The plant serves as the U.S. headquarters for high-voltage power technology products and supports the production of critical grid infrastructure equipment.

The build-to-suit facility manufactures high-voltage circuit breakers, surge arresters, and transmission equipment used in substations and power distribution systems. Developed to meet increasing demand for grid modernization, the plant increases manufacturing capacity, improves production efficiency, reduces lead times, and strengthens ABB’s North American operations.

Key Features

  • Advanced manufacturing and assembly areas
  • Specialized high-voltage testing environments
  • Fully HVAC-controlled facility with central electrical and utility infrastructure
  • Glass-front office space
  • 225 auto parking spaces
