Overview

Developed as a build-to-suit project for AirTran Airways, the AirTran Training Center is a 50,000-square-foot corporate office and training facility strategically positioned adjacent to Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Delivered by MGB Development Group, the built-to-suit facility serves as the operational and training hub for AirTran’s airport counter personnel and non-pilot flight crew, the facility consolidated the airline’s workforce training and corporate administration into a single location. AirTran Airways was subsequently acquired by Southwest Airlines, with the carrier fully integrated into Southwest’s operations.

MGB coordinated site selection, design, and construction to meet the airline’s exacting operational requirements and timeline. Following AirTran’s acquisition by Southwest Airlines, the facility continues to serve as an active training and operations center for Southwest.
